I'll have the Impulosr from the combat patrol box. But wondering if I should get a repulsor or landraider as a delivery for 10+character squad 12 11 Sort by: Add a Comment

Black Templar Intecessors. Credit: Pendulin. There are 6 Stratagems to use here, largely focused on units in melee. Fervent Acclamation is an extremely useful one, letting a character activate an additional Vow for a turn. You could suddenly turn your Crusader Squad into a blender, or take the otherwise highly situational Abhor the Witch Vow and take out your opponent's key Psyker.

5 DoomRamen • 26 days ago If you're using melta, then you have to be close anyway so I prefer the fragstorm. I do also like the missiles, and the anti fly is a good bonus. However, running Uphold the Honor with a shield means 5++ and 6 FNP so the Impulsor can potentially turn from a nuisance to a menace 3 AmishWarlord08 • 26 days ago

All the classic space marine captains have combi-weapons (my BT Marshall is just a regular captain, and he has a combi-grav). Also, sternguard veterans in plastic have loads of combi-weapons too, and they were an Ultramarine specific unit for quite some time. Also, Dark Angels have had combi-plasma since always. johnciall • 5 mo. ago

Brightlinger • 2 yr. ago 5 Bladeguard and a character goes nicely in an Impulsor. For loadout, it could be interesting to make a Razorback-type thing with a multi-melta and one of the two gun upgrades, since Uphold makes the shield dome superfluous. Keeping it cheap is also very valid though. 9 Dread2187 • 2 yr. ago

Do you also like charging towards the Emperor's foes with chainswords whirring and blessed gouts of promethium sowing terror amidst their ranks? Finally, do you like painting black power armour?

The Black Templars are valiant warrior-knights and pious champions of the Emperor. They are deeply unusual among the Adeptus Astartes for venerating the Emperor as a literal god. The Chapter's fanatical devotion finds its focus in constant campaigning. A fleet-based Chapter, they divide their forces into crusades led by Marshals, and storm.

On the small boards of 9e and with objective-focused missions, rushing the enemy deployment zone just isn't really important anymore, so the Impulsor does a job that you don't especially need. It's also not as mobile as a 14" move would make you think now that it doesn't have FLY, because moving around stuff with a 100mm base is rough.
